If I reserve a date, how much money is due upfront? Do we make monthly installments, or is payment due all at once?

  • Deposit is required up front: $1500 for Weddings, $400 for Elopements

  • Payment of $1000 is due 6 months prior to your wedding date

  • Final balance is due 2 weeks before our wedding date

Lodging

Is there a cost associated with the bridal suite?

Packages start at $295.

Can we rent the suite Friday and Saturday if we are a Saturday wedding and the Friday bride isn’t renting the suite?

Absolutely!

How many can sleep in the suite?

Depending on how many rooms you rent; up to three rooms are available. There is a King in the main suite, and each other room has a double bed. There is a nominal charge for more than two persons per room.

What time can we check into the suite?

If the suite is rented the night before, you will be able to check in at noon. If the suite is not rented the night before you can request to check in early at no additional charge.

Planning

What are your thoughts on a wedding coordinator? Is it necessary or do you both take care of most of those issues?

If you are fairly organized, you probably don’t need one. We take care of everything related to the site and food at the venue on wedding day. A coordinator would be necessary if you felt you had a lot of décor and details to facilitate and didn’t want any family members or friends to oversee this. We have a wonderful staff that will assist you in planning your wedding at our venue.

Will you be coordinating the day or do we need to have someone assign to make sure people are in the right place at the right time?

One of our staff will be the site manager for your day and ensure communication to your guests so that you are not responsible for keeping the timeline flowing.

Do we need Liability Insurance? If so, how much?

Yes! $500,000. It is also important to select that you will be serving alcohol at the venue and name The Enchanted Barn, Inc. on your certificate of title. There is no additional charge to add The Enchanted Barn. www.websafe.com is a good option for insurance. They will send the certificate of title directly to the barn if you provide our email address on your application. (mail@theenchantedbarn.com)

Will water be available besides the water bottles we have purchased and brought in?

Self serve water will always be available for guests in the Milking Parlor. On especially hot days, we will put out water to be immediately available and accessible upon guest arrival.

The Table numbers, can I number them 1-27 or do they need to be the table numbers listed on theguest count seating chart?

We ask that you stick to our table numbers if you are using numbers. If you are going to use table names, we ask for a reference chart so we know which name you have designated to our table number.  This will help us when we direct guests to their table if you are not having open seating.  This also helps us keep track that we have the tables in the location you are expecting them.

Do you have a security deposit?

No, we have decided to not collect a security deposit with the understanding that if anything gets added that was not originally invoiced a new invoice will be sent after the day of the event.  Any extra damages will also be billed to the party after the day of the event.

What is typically placed on the appetizer table after dinner?

We like to use this table to cut and serve the desserts so your guests can reach them from both sides.  We also use this table for late night pizza. You may provide a layout of how this table should be set up after appetizers if it is simple and you wish for some décor to be added. We prefer for a family member or friend to take care of this if it is elaborate to ensure it is how you would like it.

Where in the barn do brides usually put their name cards?

Down in the milking parlor so that your guests can access them before dinner.

Do I need entrée/seating cards?

If you have guests eating all the same meal and you do not care where they sit, then no. If you have more than one entrée that the guests have chosen from then you will need to indicate that some way on a card for our serving staff to identify what to serve.

Rehearsal

Do you offer rehearsal dinner packages?

For Friday weddings, we offer rehearsal dinner options Thursday night. This option is also allowed for Saturday and Sunday brides if the Friday bride does not take it.

Since more than likely we can't have the rehearsal at the barn, what are some things people do for the rehearsal?

Some brides have rehearsal on wedding day at noon. Some do a rehearsal at their hotels. Some don’t do a rehearsal but instead give written instructions to the bridal party and just talk it through with them. It is important to be in good communication with your officiate and they will assure that the ceremony runs smoothly and will work with a barn staff person to execute this if you indicate on your bridal profile you would like barn staff assistance.

Set Up / Arrival

What time can the bride and groom be at the barn on wedding day?

Venue rental starts at noon. You can pay $50/hour to be there as early as 10:00AM. Our staff needs time to prepare the barn for your day. We do a fresh cleaning each wedding day morning. You must sumbit your arrival time on your final profile.

Where do the groom and groomsmen hang out before ceremony?

They roam around the grounds and they get dressed in the “man cave” named the Milk House next to the guy’s bathroom. This is a nice room with air conditioning designated for them that has benches, a full length mirror, a rack for hanging suits and jackets, as well as is close to where they will need to be for the ceremony.

Do you have any sort of room to get dressed in just for the day?

We have the ladies’ and men’s bathrooms and the Milk House. The Bridal suite is also often used for the girls to get their hair and make up done in the morning or used to put on the dress upon noon arrival. This can be rented for $295 per night. Day use only is $150 - no overnight stay.

If we choose to get the infused water are glasses/cups included?

Yes, we also provide water for on the way up the garden path for guests to enjoy after many spending a long period of time traveling in a car. This also helps eliminate the amount of crinkling water bottles of guests during the ceremony.  If you have infused water we provide that during cocktail hour and throughout the rest of the night. We provide the glasses for that as well.

When would we set up the alcohol, cake, card table, etc?

As soon as you arrive that day at noon, unless you rent barn prior to noon with our nominal hourly rate. Your bartender will take care of setting up the bar, you just need to bring the alcohol and other beverages to the bar.

How many bistro tables are there and where are they located?

We have a total of 14 small bistro/cocktail tables throughout the venue: south patio, north patio, Milking Parlor, and courtyard.

The Glass Barn has one large rectangle table, 2 low bistro tables, and 3 tall bistro tables.

The Fieldstone Patio (next to Glass Barn) typically is set up with 4-6 60” round tables with white linens.

Ceremony

If you have a family member marrying you, is that ok?

They need to be licensed by the State of Wisconsin or if licensed in another state, they need to get a sponsoring minister. Wisconsin leaves this open to your judgment as the bride and groom. Just keep in mind that having a non-licensed family member perform the marriage could result in problems down the road if either bride or groom decides to question the validity of the marriage.

How many guests can fit upstairs for the ceremony?

About 220.

What is the average time couples have their ceremony start?

Average time is 3 pm to 5 pm.

Is there a guest limit on the hilltop ceremony?

No limit, but if you want chairs for every guest moved outside, we charge $3 per chair. Otherwise, some brides have had just a couple rows of chairs and had the other guests stand.

If we are having an outdoor ceremony, will the dinner tables already be setup and ready for centerpieces to be placed?

Yes, they can be upon request weather permitting. We will wait to set up tables if the weather is possible rain until we make the decision as to where the ceremony will be.

Who does the sponsorship letter go to?

You need to bring it to the Barron County Courthouse when you apply for your license.

Is a justice of the peace/judge ok?

Yes, and we have listed some on the bridal profile. The county also has a list of judges on their website you can contact.

Do we have to get the license from the county the barn is in?

Yes if you want your legal marriage to take place on your wedding day in the barn, you need to obtain your marriage license through Barron County and Maple Grove is the Township you would put on your application.

Do you recommend that couples do a “first look” prior to the ceremony?

It seems like a lot of brides do that at the barn. Personal preference. There are some adorable spots for this at the barn. If you think a first look will help you to focus more at the ceremony, then by all means plan on doing this. It can also allow for pictures to be done before the ceremony so that you can spend the cocktail hour socializing with guests.

How long does it take to get from the back of the barn to the stage walking?

Typically, depending on speed of course, it takes 25 seconds to walk from the far back of the barn up onto the stage. The length of the aisle is approximately 40 feet.
