Artist Biography
A life-long traveling culinary enthusiast; Brian has spent his career working in all aspects of the restaurant/hospitality industry. Born and raised in Midwestern Wisconsin, he grew up enjoying the vast bounties the state has to offer. Inspired from a young age of the value of homegrown, foraged, and harvested local offerings, Brian has cultivated a passion for creatively bringing food to life. Coupling his local roots with many years traveling and working in fine establishments across the state as well as South Florida, his broad exposure to world cuisine has shaped a broad, well-rounded palette for World Cuisine. Brian currently resides in Door County, working for a renowned restaurant group including Chives Door County in Baileys Harbor and Barringer’s Restaurant in Fish Creek, WI. Prior to his return to the Door, he was the Executive Chef/Co-Owner of the historic Sheeley House Saloon in Chippewa Falls, WI. winning multiple best restaurant awards while he was there.
Brian has used his experiences to inspire a perspective and compass for unique, local, and cultural cuisine. His passion for bold flavors and quality ingredients shines through in every dish he creates.
In his time outside of the kitchen, Brian enjoys trout fishing, foraging local wild ingredients, gardening, music, and traveling.
